Life Goes On After Relationship Break-Ups

After getting out of a relationship, we sometimes wonder whether it’s time to move on or if we should wait and see if there is still hope in rekindling the flame of our most recent breakup. Some may say that rekindling the flame will still be possible because of the love that existed. But what do you do when after trying, things still don’t work out? Do you allow yourself to wait forever?

Each and every one of us should know that there are times when we have to leave our past relationships. We have to learn to move on. Of course, there is an argument that might say that true love never dies. Remember, our life isn’t just about love for one person. It’s about giving love to others as well; like family members and friends. When we dwell too much on a relationship that has no more hope in reviving, we are hindering ourselves from growth. We are boxing ourselves into only one way of thinking; that is, true love never dies no matter what.

I’ve mentioned this many times in previous articles, love is something worth fighting for and worth waiting on. But there will come a time when we have to know when it’s time to move on. We have to find out for ourselves that the love we are waiting on may be something worth putting in the past.

Love is so special. There are so much people whom we can love and can love us back. Our love for a previous partner surely, will be hard to extinguish. But one thing we should be aware of is that it could be transformed. It could be transformed into a love for a friend.

Know when to move on. There is more to life than just intimate relationships.
