Facebook dating: Friend or foe?

Is Facebook dating the way of the future?

We’ve all heard the eHarmony and Match.com testimonials. Online dating itself is nothing new. However, Facebook dating is a tactic that has gone one step further and has mixed online dating with social networking. In fact, one Kansas City man advised me that joining a group on Facebook is a less invasive way of finding someone with the same interests as you, to naturally begin a relationship.

On the surface Facebook dating seems both efficient and convenient. Oddly enough, these are two words that I wouldn’t want to use to describe a potential relationship. No matter how much background information, witty banter, or flirty inneuendos I may get from online suitors or text message, there’s nothing like the old school butterflies in the stomach.
