When Dating Turns Into A Chore
Dating should be an adventure and something to look forward to. If you’re feeling like it’s taking your time away from other things take note.
When dating feels like a chore and an energy drainer it’s a sure sign that you are not dating who you want. Dating can be practice for both of you if you are not active in the dating department but don’t get stuck there.
Some ideas to get excited about dating again:
Choose your dates and don’t let them choose you. Just because that guy asked you out for a movie on Saturday that you’re not really into don’t feel pressured to say yes. You don’t have to say yes to every date. Having chemistry with someone is pretty important granted you’re going to spend the evening chatting over dinner or drinks. Don’t feel like you need to say yes to a second or a third date. It’s important to be honest and fair to yourself as well as the other person involved. You wouldn’t someone misleading you so always place yourself in their shoes.
Take a break from dating. What? Take a break from dating?! Yes, if your week is mapped out with only dates take a break to spend time with yourself, friends and family. Catch up on things that need to be done. For example, were you suppose to start doing some home renovations or new kickboxing classes are starting. Do things for yourself and always have a life of your own.
Gaining a fresh new look towards your week will take take pressure out of dating. Remember why you are dating and don’t put too much pressure on yourself. It will fall into place naturally when least expected.
