Balancing Your Mind and Your Heart

Infatuation

Have you ever been in a situation wherein you’re lost after a relationship just ended? You ask yourself, “should I take my partner back after a break up?” It’s not that easy to decide when you want to be back in that relationship but you still have strong feelings for your ex-partner. How do you decide? How do you know that your decision will not end in various “what if” questions or regrets in the future?

You have to be able to distinguish what will be best for you in the long run. Heartaches will just be the results of having entirely short term goals. We should be able to look and see down the road whether there is a good future waiting for us in a particular relationship. We will be able to do this by analyzing how we truly feel and analyzing how it could be down the road.

Whether it’s ending a relationship or keeping a relationship going, we have to take into consideration how our hearts tell us to feel and how our minds tell us to think. These two partitions of our being are what makes decision-making, especially in relationships, difficult. Remember that favoring one will never have an end result of total happiness. Oftentimes, there will be a part of us left unsatisfied. Being too logical is as bad as being too emotional. Keep the two at equilibrium.

Your mind will be of no use if you’re heart does not give you life. Your heart will not beat without your mind telling it that it is essential for you to live. Keep the two in harmony and you will have a better life whether in or out of a relationship.
