Loving People for No Reason
“The best thing I can offer is friendship…”
This is a line I always here whenever I force myself to believe that this girl likes me. What gives? Well for one thing, she is not to blame entirely. I led myself to believe that she did feel something. Unfortunately it was only me and she thought otherwise. The feeling is good while it lasted although deep inside, a dagger really hit my heart and deep demoralization set in.
That is the funny thing about falling in love these days. You are bound to encounter wrong feelings. People fail to realize the true meaning of love. It is something sacred to many while to others it is a game. Heck, there are others who even use their looks as their powers towards getting what they want. Money, gifts and even attention. But true love? You can bet they don’t even give a damn on what it really is.
It is pitiful that such people would act this way. Love should be valued in the way that they value their lives. It is these people who end up with people whom they think will reciprocate what they feel. But then again, love should be properly explained to them.
Love is about being happy and being with someone regardless of the situation. It is not similar to being with someone for the sake of having someone listen to you. Love is being happy and smiling all the time because you know that wherever you go, there is someone watching over you, caring for you and wanting to see you have a quiet yet meaningful life.
