Rules of Love

Every person has their own standards or rules for themselves when it comes to love and relationships. Each person makes his or her own, “it should be like this…”

But then, one day, a person comes into our life and we forget about these rules and standards we made for ourselves. We just think about how special this other person makes us feel. It seems like everything else doesn’t matter. After a while, we remember those rules we made for ourselves. Now, they don’t matter. We come to think that those rules shouldn’t have existed in the first place because we realize that in love, there isn’t any.

In love, we do things we never imagined ourselves doing. We do things that others would come to think of as crazy and desperate. This is just because they don’t understand the special feelings we share with our partner. They fail to see the connection and thoughts we have with our partner.

Each couple has their own unique connection. Not because we’ve fallen in love before, we will already know what another couple is going through. The only thing we could have in common with another person is probably that we would do anything for our loved one.

In love, we unconsciously do things we never thought of doing. We reach greater heights. We go beyond what is asked of us. This is what love can do.
